Where are you located?


SJBS  is located at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, Virginia


What curriculum do you follow?


Our curriculum is based on the Classical Liberal Arts and is designed to embody the best of Homeschool and a Private Catholic Education.  Descriptions of our current course offerings are listed on our Academics page.


What grades are currently offered?


SJBS is currently offering classes for students in 7th through 12th grade.


What are my options for enrollment at SJBS?


Families may choose to enroll students as either full-time or part-time.  Full-time students may select any Core or Elective class and will have transcripts produced by SJBS.  Part-time students (Homeschool Enrichment Program) may select Core and Elective classes on an a-la-carte basis but will not receive transcripts from SJBS.


Will students be required to wear uniforms?


All students (both full time and HEP) are required to wear uniforms to foster a sense of community and professionalism in the classroom.  

Uniform requirements are as follows:


Gentlemen:

  • A long sleeve button down collar shirt in either white or light blue with tie.
  • Tie can have designs but must remain appropriate. 
  • Khaki pants of any shade and dress shoes.

Ladies:

  • Plaid skirt
  • White or light blue blouse.
  • Ladies may wear an optional navy blue or hunter green cardigan.
  • Dress shoes or penny loafers with coordinating socks. 


Does SJBS provide any financial aid?


We are committed to offering an affordable education to all of our students and have set our tuition at levels that are very competitive.  For families needing assistance with tuition, please contact our administrative team admin@stjohnboscos.com


Are installments plans available for tuition?


Installment plans are available upon request.  Your registration form will include details on the options for tuition payment.


Does SJBS offer Mass?


Mass is offered once a week on Fridays.  Participation is mandatory for all students who are on campus on Fridays.


Is Saint John Bosco School operated by the Diocese of Arlington?


Saint John Bosco School is an independent hybrid school in the Catholic tradition.  While we are most grateful for the use of facilities at Christ the Redeemer parish, we are not affiliated with the Diocese of Arlington.
